So I got tagged by SweetSpice so here goes, I have to tell you 6 random things about me...
1. Since I gave up soda, I don't really like sweets anymore. EXCEPT for ice cream. Me likey, especially mint chocolate chip and peppermint which I only eat during the holiday season.
2. I like comedies, foreign films, "guy" movies and old movies but will run into traffic if I'm ever forced to watch "The Notebook" or anything that awful again.
3. I think I may have a mini-case of OCD. I wash my hands alot. I wish I had OCD about cleaning house.
4. I love kids and just watching them makes me smile. Unless they're like Damien or a child star.
5. I love Burger King's Tendercrisp Chicken Salad. I know that it's bad for me and don't care.
6. I love fabric and have way too much of it. Ditto for beads. Well, you really can't have TOO much of them!

Toy Scares

So far, I've only identified one of Liv's toys as a part of the numerous recalls. Unfortunately, in trying to explain why I was taking away one of her Polly Pocket toys, I frightened her. She panicked, but is OK now, after we talked a bit more. I told her this might be a great Christmas for buying presents on Etsy and she agreed - homemade goodies not toxic to our precious little ones!

Olivia's 1st Day of Kindergarten

The BIG DAY is finally here!

Besides the "mean boy in the white striped shirt who kept spitting," Liv really enjoyed her first day of school. There were snacks, finger puppets, recess and all sorts of excitement. But I expect she'll be in bed EARLY tonight! ((hugs)) Mic
P.S. I was a big girl, too. I didn't cry until I left the school and not very much, then enjoyed some grown up time with friends.

I've been working a lot on my design group, Girls Will Be Girls. We added a new member, SweetSpice (as I mentioned in an earlier post) and so I added her web info to our blog and I've been doing some upkeep on our Top 100 List - http://gwbg.gotop100.com/. We're now offering 200x200 ads for only $5 for 2 months. That will go to buy more advertising for GWBG. We're doing our next launch on Etsy, which we're all excited about. EBay fees have become so high and it's so much work to list there. But we won't have all the eBay groups to "pimp" our launch on, so we're going to advertise on a few different sites (TBD).
Also, on the homefront, Olivia & I are getting ready for her first day of school, which is tomorrow. I'm a total bawl baby already. Wish me luck tomorrow. ((hugs)) Mic

1. My belly button was an outie when I was little, but somewhere in my adolescent years became an innie.

2. My front teeth used to have a big gap and both stuck out (one more than the other - so pretty) but on my mom's and grandpa's advice, used my tongue and sometimes by finger to push them back and now the space is barely there and they're relatively straight. (Sorry to any orthodontists reading this.)

3. I was an "accident".

4. I love wine, esp. champagne. But I need my coffee, too. And water, for survival purposes.

5. I'm SO sick of politics.

6. I love musicals (despite what happened in #8).

7. I go by my middle name because my aunt didn't like an in-law with the same name.

8. When I was 13 and trying out for the school musical, I blacked out, kinda - I wasn't really conscious of anything but kept singing. Very off key according to ear witnesses. That was the end of my music career.

My mind can't fathom that it's been 20 years since I graduated from High School. Eep.
I even dreamed about high school last night. In one part, I was in class and a really cute (and totally fictional) guy was hitting on me. Like that ever happened in High School, LOL! The only thing more unrealistic than that was when the principal, Mrs. Wilson gave me a ride in her car and then did dozens of donuts in the school parking lot. It was really fun. It started because I'm hacked off at Amazon.com for selling magazines and other items that promote animal fighting. They tell me they're exercising their freedom of speech so I am exercising my freedom to NOT promote them in my site. (If you want to see what the Humane Society has to say about the situation, click HERE.) Anyway, for some reason I could remove EVERYTHING from my site but their link! It was insane. So I got frustrated and removed the whole thing. I do like the new site I've moved to - none of those stinking pop-ups!!!!! But I have a lot of work to do. Feel free to check it out.

I just realized yesterday was my 6 month anniversary of selling on Etsy. I feel so bad I forgot; I didn't even send Etsy a card. What a schmuck. But I do love you, Etsy Baby. Sometimes I just get so busy and forget to tell you. Now, give me a kiss.

Livvie & I watched "A Night At The Museum" at a friend's house today. I love that movie and Mickey Roonie especially cracks me up ("Lunchbox", LMBO!). My hubby and I have noticed that when we go to funny movies we laugh more than other people. I noticed the same thing at my friend's house. She's a funny, clever girl, but apparantly not as easily amused as I am. But I'm quite fine with that. I like to laugh.

Olivia has expressive feet. I noticed that the other morning when she was playing her Gameboy but was hiding behind a pillow from her dad. (He had caused many of her stuffed animals to fall down onto her bed then told her to pick them up, just to torture her. Before you call the SRS, he did pick them up.) Anyway, she just wiggled those feet and toes like you wouldn't believe while playing her video game. It was so stinking cute. I wish I could've videotaped it. Oh well.

Not much to post about today. I dropped off a display at Hannah Banana because I've taken so many pieces over there. It's HB's big birthday bash. I'll go by there again Saturday so I can eat & drink and force customers to buy my goods.
I worked on a bracelet for Girls Will Be Girls Made To Match Gymbo Back To School Launch. (How's that for wordiness?) It's a great little bracelet, but I can't finish it until I get a heart charm I ordered today. I admit, I look forward to getting mail in a way that is downright pitiful. Anyway, today I received 3, count 'em, 3! packages in my mailbox. First, some silver beads and findings. Needed, but not exciting. Second, some fab & hard-top-find M&Ms fabric from GoneToPieces. I plan to list some M&M ponytail holders soon on Etsy. And I think I'll make a M&M necklace, too. And thirdly, my 1" promo pins from KittyCrossBones. Aren't they great? I'll send them out with my Etsy orders and hand them out around town whenever I get the urge. Livvie wore hers all day and insisted I wear mine, as well as Meme & Papaw. She's a good marketing manager.
